Mark Angel Clarifies His Role with Emmanuella and Success: “I Was Never Their Manager”

Renowned social media comedian, Mark Angel, has cleared up longstanding misconceptions about his involvement in the careers of Emmanuella and Success, two young stars widely associated with his comedy skits.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Angel explained that he was never their manager, emphasizing that his role was limited to content distribution. He stated, “Our agreement was about distribution, not management. I never managed them. They have agencies that handle their management. When they were kids, I didn’t know much about management. My aim was simply to bring them into the spotlight and introduce them to content creation.”

Angel also revealed that in 2016, a lawyer stepped in to formalize a contract, but it was later cancelled after the children’s families opted for their own choice of management.

The clarification arose during a live TikTok session where a viewer accused Angel of poorly managing the young comedians. He recounted, “Someone commented, ‘You are not managing these girls well. I’ve been writing to you about it.’ I was baffled because I don’t manage their accounts, so I wasn’t sure where she was writing to.”

Despite not being their official manager, Angel disclosed that the children’s management teams still seek his guidance on career matters. “They consult me because of the bond we share. I’m like a father figure to her (Emmanuella). I’m addressing this issue now because of their social media page. Some comments there are upsetting, and I wouldn’t want it to affect them,” he said.

Mark Angel’s remarks shed light on his true involvement, reaffirming his supportive but non-managerial role in the success of the young stars.
